Introduction

WiDV can be used with any external HDMI camera and it also supports three different high resolution cameras of 5 megapixels (2592 x 1944) based on Omnivision 5647 sensor.

Camera settings

Image parameters

All three cameras can have the following parameters configured by using the Settings menu:

  • Sharpness
  • Contrast
  • Brightness
  • Saturation
  • Video stabilization
  • Exposure compensation, mode, ...
  • AWB
  • Image effects
  • Image rotation and flipping
  • Color effects

Zoom

  • The OSD menu contains a zoom section as shown on figure 1. The zoom has 16 levels, from 0 to 15. You can increase and decrease the zoom level by clicking on "+" and "-" respectively. Clicking on "Level" will take the zoom to level 0 regardless on which level you are. The zoom can also be used using an external joystick.
  • When you are in a zoom level higher than 0 the arrows will be enabled to allow you to move the zoom window around. Once you have reached any of the edges, the pertinent arrow will disappear so you know you can not move any further on that direction.
